On empathy
Message from the light masters:
”Humans are fit to live together. In order to let this happen in a harmonious way, the bodily system possesses the ability to empathize.
Up till now only 20% of the population utilizes this ability. This explains why the experience of separateness is still omnipresent in this world. This emotion is the cause of all the unpleasant emotions a soul here on earth can experience through the human consciousness. As soon as someone doesn’t feel connected with something or someone, he/she is able to deliberately – or unknowingly – give the other party unpleasant experiences.
Empathy is only possible when the 2 brain hemispheres are cooperating, with the feeling center/unit. This brings people into the 4D experience: while maintaining the personal 3D bodily awareness, the consciousness is further expanded – which allows one to feel which emotion the other living creature is experiencing.
Many people use mainly their mental capacities to steer the body. This explains why they think they are being empathetic, while in actuality they aren’t. What they really do is either show pity, sympathy or compassion.
1. Pity goes as follows: out of their own system’s emotional charge, people recognize the emotions, and project these onto the others person. They link the other person’s experience to their own. In this case they predominantly use their right brain side.
Let’s take the example of the emotion of loss: when a soul loses its body – what you describe as death – we see that the body left behind is surrounded by people re-experiencing their previous experiences of loss. At that moment they don’t feel that the soul that just let go of its body has no experience of loss whatsoever. On the contrary: these people keep on experiencing their own emotion of loss, until their emotional field becomes so big that they eventually lose someone, something, or even their own body.
Be aware of the fact that when a soul disconnects from the body, it doesn’t experience this as loss. When you use your ability to empathize, you can sense this.
2. Sympathy: when people try to sympathize with someone else, this takes place in the left brain side. They try and imagine what they would be feeling if they were the other person, and remember their own emotion.
3. Compassion: also this is a purely individual experience as one person sees the other one as his/her mirror. Indeed, this benefits self-actualization, but it still isn’t the kind of empathy that’s required for a harmonious society.
Take the example of Kaat and the Live Love, Love Life centre with the fair price principle.
She was given the assignment to train her empathic abilities, in order to provide many others the chance to also experience this.
Up till now she frequently encounters people who think they are being empathetic, but are actually still reacting out of their individual ‘I-experience’.
Then what exactly is empathy? When you are able to clearly distinguish between your own emotions – your inner experience – and another person’s emotions – which will never match your individual experience – you are being empathetic.
Fair price means for example: what would you experience as fair to receive if you would have given a meditation – not based on your own experience and wisdom, but on Kaat’s. So when you feel Kaat, and are familiar with her evolution, then what would feel as a fair price to you? This means you keep experiencing your own emotions, while feeling her emotions, and switching roles.
Then you are using your right brain side to feel, and the left brain side to calculate the price.
Now realize that there are many tools in your bodily system left to discover and use. And, most important of all, keep having fun while doing so!”
Love,
Kaat
